HOW HE GOT THE ROLE - He spent six years as professional dubbing artist, before attending acting classes in New York. Earlier, he approached Ram GopalVerma for a role in jungle. He was offered the second lead, which he declined and approached again after one year for a role in COMPANY. But the question was will the well brought up city slick young actor look convincing in the part? Recalls Oberoi, one day Ramuji dropped in and saw my audition tape . He signed me up immediately. But he found my face too soft for a gangster.
Vivek took it on himself to prove to he can scrub away his city sickness to look like a rough and tough gangster within ten days, he transformed himself into an ill-dressed unkempt gangster from the chaws, so much so that Verma didn’t recognize the actor when he dropped into the directors office. Vivek wants to put the same amount of energy in all his films.

ATTITUDE TOWARDS MEDIA: HE don’t believe in any publicity so turned down many photo shoots. He says don’t want to do which he doesn’t enjoy doing.
DUM: Dum is not power of biceps it is about the power of the spirit. Its about a man who says it is convenient to have principles but tough to live by them. He says he enjoyed working with Diya, she is a complete paradox, she is mature and immature at the same time.
